Manziel to Play vs. Redskins Despite Soreness
Thursday, Aug. 13
ESPN's Bob Holtzman reported Manziel will play on Thursday night, although Josh McCown will still start.
On Aug. 11, Pettine added that the only thing Manziel lost was a day of reps, per Steve Doerschuk of CantonRep.com.
A hamstring injury suffered in his second start as a rookie led to Manziel being late for treatment on it before the 2014 regular-season finale, further adding to the failures of his rookie year.
Manziel has rededicated himself this season—enough to earn playing time—but concerns about his slight stature (6'0", 210 lbs) won't quiet down after this latest injury.
