The United States had already qualified for the FIBA Women's World Cup by virtue of winning the 2025 FIBA Women's AmeriCup.
However, Team USA (and other World Cup qualifiers) still participated in qualifying tournaments alongside other nations looking to find a place in the World Cup next September in Berlin.
The United States participated in one of four qualifying tournaments (Tournament B) and went 5-0 with a 210-point differential, defeating Italy, Spain, host Puerto Rico, Senegal and New Zealand.
