KC Concepcion Reportedly Undergoes Surgery, Latest on Injury Timeline to Return amid NFL Draft Buzz
Texas A&M wide receiver KC Concepcion had a "routine and preventative" scope on his knee, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.
Garafolo reported he should be fully healed in time for rookie camp.
Concepcion is the No. 18 overall player and fourth-best wideout on Bleacher Report's 2026 big board. He caught 61 passes for 919 yards and nine touchdowns in 2025, his only year at A&M after transferring in from North Carolina State.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
B/R NFL scout Dame Parson compared him to two-time Pro Bowler Emmanuel Sanders.
"He excels in creating plays after the catch with his toughness, elusiveness, and explosiveness," Parson wrote. "His versatility opens up the playbook because he's also dangerous on bubble screens, pre-snap motion, jet sweeps, and handoffs."
He also said the Aggies star "fits the mold as a dynamic do-it-all, run-after-catch receiver in today's NFL."
As long as the knee procedure is as minor as Garafolo indicated, it shouldn't hurt Concepcion's stock that much.
Jameson Williams was recovering from a torn ACL when the Detroit Lions picked him 12th overall in the 2022 NFL draft. They knew he would miss the start of the season — Williams logged just six appearances as a rookie — and took him anyway.
General managers are willing to make a lot of concessions for a prospect they deem to be talented enough.
A minor knee injury for Concepcion is less than ideal, but it sounds like he'll participate in all of the important events in his first NFL preseason. Any team with him on its radar shouldn't be too concerned.
