DeAndre Hopkins Shades Ravens in Response to Fan's Trending NFL Free Agency Post, 'Never Complained'

Timothy RappMar 16, 2026

Veteran wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins suggested Monday that he wasn't thrilled with a lack of red-zone usage—or snaps in general—during his time with the Baltimore Ravens in the 2025 season.

Indeed, the five-time Pro Bowler and three-time first-team All-Pro ended up as something of an afterthought in Baltimore, finishing the 2025 campaign with 22 catches for 330 yards and two scores.

While it's fair to question if the 33-year-old is simply past his prime at this point—he mustered just 56 catches for 610 yards and five scores in 2024—last season was easily his least productive as an NFL player. A career-low 39 targets was a major contributor in that regard.

Even so, Hopkins told reporters in late January he would "love to come back" depending on whether the team's new offensive coordinator (the since-hired Declan Doyle) would want him. But he also emphasized that he felt under-utilized in last year's offense.

"Obviously Lamar [Jackson] and I had a great connection," he said. "I think when he came to me I might have been top-10 in productive receivers in the NFL when the ball came my way. I love Baltimore, and me being a competitor, I would have loved to be used more, even though we had Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman and Isaiah Likely, I'm always gonna have that mindset that I want to be in the game. That will never change but it doesn't upset me that I wasn't, it doesn't make me a bad teammate, I'm still cheering the guys on that are in the game, but I felt that I could have been used more."
