Calvin Ridley, Titans Reportedly Agree to Restructured Contract amid Release Rumors

Mike ChiariMar 14, 2026

The Tennessee Titans and wide receiver Calvin Ridley agreed to a restructured contract Saturday, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Per Pelissero, Ridley had a $2 million roster bonus due Saturday at 4 p.m. ET, which essentially acted as a deadline for the two sides to reach a solution.

ESPN's Turron Davenport noted in January that Ridley would "likely be a cap casualty," but he is now in line to return for a third season in Tennessee.

After playing four seasons with the Atlanta Falcons and one with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Ridley signed a four-year, $92 million contract with the Titans in free agency in 2024.

A first-round draft pick out of Alabama in 2018, Ridley broke out with 90 catches for 1,374 yards and nine touchdowns in 2020, but he was limited to just five games in 2021 due to mental health reasons, and he was suspended for the entire 2022 season for betting on NFL games.

Ridley bounced back in a big way in 2023 after getting traded to the Jaguars and reinstated. He started all 17 games for Jacksonville, finishing with 76 grabs for 1,016 yards and eight touchdowns.

After leaving the Jags for the AFC South rival Titans in free agency, Ridley's strong play continued in 2024 to the tune of 64 catches for 1,017 yards and four touchdowns.

Expectations were high for the 31-year-old Ridley entering the 2025 campaign after the Titans used the No. 1 overall draft pick on quarterback Cam Ward.

However, Ridley played only seven games due to a broken fibula, recording 17 receptions for 303 yards and no touchdowns.

In Week 5, Ridley went off to the tune of five catches for 131 yards, offering a glimpse into what he and Ward could potentially accomplish as a duo.

The Titans have made some significant changes this offseason, hiring Robert Saleh as head coach and Brian Daboll as offensive coordinator. They have also made several key additions in free agency.

Among them is former New York Giants wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson, who could be a great complement to Ridley since he is primarily a slot receiver, while Ridley operates outside.

Ward is trending toward having a more dynamic group of weapons in his second season than he did as a rookie, and a healthy Ridley will be a big part of that.
