John Michael Gyllenborg 2026 NFL Draft Scouting Report for Kansas City Chiefs TE
The Kansas City Chiefs are reportedly signing Wyoming TE John Michael Gyllenborg as undrafted rookie free-agent, per ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
John Michael Gyllenborg has an intriguing NFL frame with excellent athletic ability as a move tight end of an offense. He exploits space with quick acceleration and can be a chess piece in attacking the defense in a variety of ways.
A former 3-star recuit, Gyllenborg played his entire four-year career at Wyoming ammassing 80 catches for 1,023 yards and seven touchdowns in 43 career games played. He's an upside play with the athletic ability he possesses, but needs some detailed focus to transform into an NFL player.

Where He Wins
2 of 5
— Gyllenborg can be a seam-busting threat with his speed and acceleration, both of which are useful after the catch.
— Exploiting space is where he shines with the ball in his hands, with good balance, weaving ability, and finishing behind his pads.
— A better blocker on the move, which gives him easier angles to work while lining up second-level players well.
Areas of Improvement
3 of 5
— Aside from the occasional whip route, Gyllenborg struggles to run a route tree with nuance and needs added details to find success.
— Doesn't play to his size and must add more physicality to his game to fight through physical coverage and as a blocker.
— Drops are a problem on tape, which isn't helped by a catch radius that's smaller than you'd like.
