Livvy Dunne Joins 'Baywatch' Reboot, Former LSU Gymnast Posts Photos of 'Lifeguard Training'

Former LSU gymnastics star Livvy Dunne has hinted about making her acting debut, and now she's landed her first role.

Dunne is joining the cast of the "Baywatch" reboot in a recurring role, according to Nellie Andreeva of Deadline. She will play a character named Grace, "a highly enthusiastic junior lifeguard," per Andreeva.

According to TMZ Sports, "the cast currently in place had the first table read last week."

Last month, Dunne told People's Lexi Lane and Lindsay Kimble that she had been taking acting lessons in preparation for potential roles this year.

"It's something I've been passionate about for quite some time," Dunne told Lane and Kimble. "I was interested in doing that at LSU, but sports are your top priority when you're a student-athlete at school; school and sports, but really gymnastics was my main focus.

"I feel like collabing on creativity and seeing the end result, having something be great after, that's something that I love. And whether it's gymnastics or acting in a movie or a TV show, I just think watching all your hard work pay off, whether it's an individual thing or a group thing, I think it's so cool."

Dunne also said in January that she had been "reading scripts" and "getting a lot of auditions."
