Quay Walker, Nakobe Dean Reportedly Agree to Raiders Free-Agent Contracts, Updated Salary Cap
Former Green Bay Packers linebacker Quay Walker is heading to Nevada as part of a busy first day of free agency negotiations for the Las Vegas Raiders.
Walker and the Raiders have agreed to a contract, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported.
That's not the only move the Raiders have made since negotiations opened Monday morning.

The Raiders also signed former Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Nakobe Dean to a three-year deal, per agent Mike McCartney.
Dean's contract is worth $36 million with $20 million guaranteed, per The Athletic's Dianna Russini.
The franchise is additionally re-signing defensive end Malcolm Koonce on a one-year, $11 million deal, per NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
Other reportedly incoming free agents include wide receiver Jalen Nailor (three years, $35 million), edge defender Kwity Paye (three years, $48 million), cornerback Eric Stokes (three years, $30 million) and center Tyler Linderbaum (three years, $81 million).
The Raiders had an NFL-high $111.9 million in cap space heading into Monday's official start of free agent negotiations, per Over the Cap.
The franchise used some of that money to grab Walker, who hit free agency after the Packers declined his fifth-year option last May.
ESPN's Rob Demovsky reported at the time Green Bay had hoped to sign him to an extension before he hit free agency.
The Packers seemed poised to move in a different direction as of March 7, when the franchise acquired veteran linebacker Zaire Franklin in a trade with the Indianapolis Colts.
NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported after news of the Franklin trade broke that the Packers "wanted to keep" Walker and "made several runs at re-signing him" before trading for Franklin.
Franklin could now step into the same role as Walker, who Pelissero noted was expected to have a "strong market" in free agency.
Walker, who will turn 26 in May, was originally selected by the Packers as the No. 22 pick in the 2022 draft.
He has recorded at least 100 tackles and 1.5 sacks in each of his four NFL seasons.
Despite missing three games of the 2025 season, he recently recorded a career-high 128 tackles along with 2.5 sacks, eight tackles for loss, seven quarterback hits and five passes defensed.
The Raiders will now hope to see that consistency help them field an improved defense in 2026.
