DJ Campbell NFL Draft 2026 Scouting Report for Miami Dolphins IOL
The Miami Dolphins selected Texas IOL DJ Campbell with the No. 200 overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft.
DJ Campbell is a broad-framed interior blocker with very good length and play strength who can generate displacement in vertical run concepts and anchor quickly against the bull rush. However, below-average foot quickness limits his ability to redirect and mirror in isolation, and his tendency to drop his eyes on zone blocks reduces his ability to recover against movement across his face. He profiles as a developmental interior backup best suited for a downhill, gap-oriented run scheme.
Campbell is a 6'3", 313-pound offensive line prospect, who entered the Texas program as a 5-star recruit in the 2022 class.
Cruz started 43 games at right guard for the Longhorns over four seasons and was named a third-team AP All-SEC selection in 2025. He was also a starter on a Joe Moore Award finalist unit during the 2024 season. Campbell competed in the 2026 Shrine Bowl.

Where He Wins
2 of 5
- Thick, well-rounded, and sturdy build with a stiff punch and very good arm length.
- Engulfs and absorbs power down the middle of his frame to anchor quickly against the bull-rush.
- Good play strength shows up in the post on vertical double-teams and down blocks where his size and leg churn create movement at the point of attack.
- Provides firm help when uncovered in pass protection against late spinners and inside counters to dent edge-rushers and solidify the pocket.
- Effective puller using his wide-bodied frame and length to collect targets within the flow of the play and steer away from the ball.
Areas of Improvement
3 of 5
- Below average foot quickness and burst leads to swinging his hips open to redirect and being tardy working to secondary threats (scraping backers, working through simulated pressures, late loopers).
- Persistently drops his eyes at the point of attack on zone base blocks, sapping his ability to recover and sustain against movement across his face.
