Former NFL quarterback and current ESPN analyst Mark Brunell was one of many who were hard on New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady following a Deflategate press conference.

In the words of Brady, Brunell was overly critical because he is a "hater."

Brunell's response to Brady's press conference went viral because it appeared as though the 44-year-old analyst was on the verge of tears:

That emotional response would become a topic of an email Brady was a part of later that day.

In the email, which was recently made public, Brady called Brunell a "Patriot hater" (via Business Insider):

On a semirelated note, Brunell spent the final two years of his NFL career with the New York Jets.
