NFL Draft 2026's Full List of Compensatory Picks Released

Seven weeks away from the 2026 NFL draft, the league has announced the order of the 33 compensatory picks that were handed out.

Per the NFL's official release on Monday, the Philadelphia Eagles, Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers were the three clubs that received the maximum four comp picks.

The full order for every pick in the 2026 draft is now set with the comp picks being awarded.

It's not a surprise to see the Ravens atop the comp pick list. They have mastered the art of stockpiling comp picks to flesh out their roster. This is the second consecutive year they have received the max number of comp picks.

Other clubs that received multiple picks include the New York Jets, Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers, Denver Broncos, Detroit Lions and Indianapolis Colts.

The highest awarded picks in the third round went to the Minnesota Vikings, Steelers, Eagles and Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots, the two Super Bowl 60 participants, were among the teams to not be given any comp picks based on the league's formula.

Teams are eligible to receive a comp pick based on a formula the NFL uses to determine if the value from a qualifying free agent who left to sign with another club outweighs the value gained from a free-agent signee.

Per Eric Eager of Sumer Sports, the league's formula includes a player being ranked among the top 35 percent in terms of adjusted average annual salary, playing time and various performance indicators laid out during the year the contract was signed.

For instance, Milton Williams' four-year, $104 million deal with the Patriots last offseason made him the second-highest paid interior defensive lineman by AAV after spending his first four NFL seasons with Philadelphia. He started all 12 games he played and was on the field for more than 60 percent of their defensive snaps in the games he played.

As a result of those factors, the Eagles were all but assured a third-round comp pick this year.

Under the Rooney Rule, the league also awards additional comp picks to clubs that have minority coaches or front-office executives who are hired by another team to become a head or general manager.

The 2026 NFL draft will take place from April 23-25 in Pittsburgh.
