Ally Sentnor, USWNT Thrill Fans with Win vs. Canada to Lead 2026 SheBelieves Cup
The United States beat Canada by a goal on Wednesday night. It easily could have been by three or four.
The Americans moved to 2-0 at the SheBelieves Cup after defeating their northern neighbors, 1-0, with Ally Sentnor scoring the game's lone tally.

That doesn't do justice to the overall domination on display, however. The Americans controlled 64.7 percent of possession, out-shot Canada 18-6 (4-1 on goal) and had 11 corners compared to just two for their rivals.
Folks on social media were impressed by what they saw on Wednesday:
The United States is now in excellent position to win the SheBelieves Cup as the only undefeated team in the four-team, round-robin tournament. A win over Colombia, which beat Argentina 1-0 on Wednesday, would seal the United States its eighth SheBelieves Cup triumph, the most in the event's history.
That's a pretty safe bet—the USWNT hasn't given up a goal since Oct. 26, a span of seven matches.
Japan ended the Americans' five-year streak as champions in 2025, but if Wednesday's performance is any indication, a new streak is set to begin.
