Eagles Rumors on Jalen Carter, Jaelan Phillips, Jordan Davis Contracts in NFL Free Agency

Doric SamMar 4, 2026

The Philadelphia Eagles are reportedly hoping to keep their talented defensive line intact this offseason.

According to Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports, sources said that the Eagles are "focused on getting extensions done" with defensive tackles Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis, and they are also "hopeful" to sign defensive end Jaelen Phillips to a new deal before he officially enters free agency next week.

Davis and Carter were Philadelphia's first-round draft picks in 2022 and 2023, respectively. Phillips, a first-round pick in 2021, was acquired from the Miami Dolphins at last season's trade deadline in exchange for a 2026 third-round pick.

Carter is one of the faces of the Eagles' defense, earning back-to-back Pro Bowl selections in the last two seasons. Davis has also proven to be an effective run stuffer as Philadelphia's nose tackle, and Phillips is ascending after being a full year removed from the knee injury that cost him most of the 2024 season.

It will be pricey to retain all three players with new deals this offseason, but it's clear that the Eagles are willing to invest in their defensive line as they try to return to Super Bowl contention in 2026 and beyond.
