Unrivaled Playoff Bracket 2026 Semis Preview After 1st-Round Results

The Unrivaled postseason tipped off Saturday with seeds No. 3 through No. 6 battling for spots in Monday's semifinals, where top-seeded Phantom and No. 2 Mist await.

Both higher seeds fell in stunning fashion, including last season's champions, who will not get a chance to defend their title.

In the league's inaugural season, Chelsea Gray and the Rose captured the championship with a 62-54 victory over the Vinyl.

Now, after a dramatic opening round, just four teams remain in the hunt for the 2026 Unrivaled crown.

Saturday opened with an upset as the No. 6 Vinyl knocked off No. 3 Laces.

The Vinyl trailed 46-42 at halftime before erupting in the third quarter, outscoring the Laces 29-17, behind 21 points from Rhyne Howard, to seize control and put the higher seed on the brink entering the target score in the fourth.

Dearica Hamby took over late, scoring or assisting on all 11 fourth-quarter points to send the Vinyl to the semifinals against the top-seeded Phantom.

Howard paced the Vinyl with 30 points and eight rebounds, Hamby finished with 25 points on 11-of-14 shooting and five rebounds and Rae Burrell added 11 points and four assists.

Brittney Sykes led the Laces with 22 points and six rebounds in their final game of the season while Alyssa Thomas contributed 18 points and nine rebounds.

No. 5 seed Breeze def. No. 4 seed Rose, 69-50

The reigning champion Rose saw their title defense end at the hands of Paige Bueckers and the Breeze, who stormed out to a 38-30 halftime lead.

The Breeze kept their foot on the gas in the third, outscoring the Rose by nine to carry a commanding advantage into the final frame. In a grind-it-out, low-scoring battle, the target score was set at 69 with the Breeze firmly in control at 58-41.

Dominique Malonga and Bueckers closed the door. Malonga drew the decisive shooting foul and calmly knocked down the two-point free throw to reach the target score and seal the win.

Bueckers poured in 29 points on 58 percent shooting with four rebounds and two assists. Malonga dominated inside with 14 points and 17 rebounds, while Rickea Jackson added nine points, three assists and two steals.

For the Rose, Kahleah Copper finished with 15 points, Chelsea Gray added 11 and Angel Reese posted 10 points and seven rebounds to close out their season.
