Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love, turned heads Saturday with a standout performance at the NFL combine after nearly leading the Fighting Irish to a playoff push last season.
According to Daniel Jeremiah's updated top 50 big board rankings, Love is projected to be selected No. 2 overall, a spot that the New York Jets currently hold after finishing 3-14.
There are rumblings he could be on the Kansas City Chiefs' radar if he were to slip to No. 9 following their disappointing 6-11 season, according to ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr.

He is coming off a breakout campaign in which he rushed for 1,372 yards and 21 total touchdowns on 199 carries and 27 receptions, without a single fumble, cementing himself as one of the most explosive playmakers in this year's draft class.
Love's measurements were as follows:
- Height: 6'0"
- Weight: 212 pounds
- Hand Size: 9⅛ inches
- Arm Length: 32 inches
- Wingspan: 78⅝ inches
Love's official results were as follows:
- Dash: 4:36
- Split: 1.55
Love quickly posted the fastest 40-yard dash time among running backs Saturday, blazing a 4.37 seconds on his first attempt to set the tone for the day, only taken over by Arkansas' Mike Washington Jr. with the final run of the first heat with a 4.33.
Love bested his first time by one second, posting an official 4.36 40-yard finishing the drill second best behind Washington Jr. 's impressive 4.33 run.
The 20-year-old moved with ease during running back drills, making the workouts look effortless. He added a touch of swagger on his catches and even avoided a potential collision with a cameraman in the process.
Despite a brief pause from a draft stock perspective, Love's backflip as the running back group exited the field provided the perfect exclamation point to his day.
