Drew Allar at 2026 NFL Combine Measurements, Highlights and Reaction
Just four months removed from undergoing surgery to repair a broken ankle, Penn State quarterback Drew Allar showed off his strong arm at the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.
Allar did not partake in any of the other drills, such as the 40-yard dash, but he looked to impress NFL teams in his on-field work with the wide receivers.
Not surprisingly, Allar had some ups and downs with his accuracy during the throwing portion, but he put plenty of zip on the ball and excelled on deep passes, which are qualities that figure to appeal to NFL scouts:

Heisman finalist makes history after going undrafted
Given that he is perhaps among the most polarizing prospects in the entire draft, there was no shortage of differing opinions on social media regarding Allar's showing in Indy:
Allar's size and physical tools have never been much of a question mark, and his measurables are right where NFL teams typically like them to be for a quarterback.
Per NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah, Allar logged the following measurements in Indianapolis:
- Height: 6'5"
- Weight: 228 pounds
- Hand Size: 9⅞ inches
- Arm Length: 32¾ inches
- Wingspan: 79⅝ inches
That put him right in line with Indiana quarterback and projected No. 1 overall draft pick Fernando Mendoza.
Per Jeremiah, Mendoza weighed in eight pounds heavier than Allar, but Allar was about a half-inch taller, and also recorded larger hands, longer arms and a wider wingspan than Mendoza.
The 21-year-old signal-caller from Medina, Ohio, played four seasons at Penn State and was the starter for parts of three of them, posting a 26-9 record.
In 2024, Allar completed 66.5 percent of his passes for 3,327 yards, 24 touchdowns and eight interceptions, while also rushing for 302 yards and six scores.
The Nittany Lions made it all the way to the semifinals of the College Football Playoff that season, although Allar's performance during the CFP left plenty to be desired, as he averaged just 144.3 passing yards per game.
Despite that, Allar was widely expected to enter the 2025 NFL draft and put himself in position to potentially be the second quarterback taken behind Miami's Cam Ward, who went first overall to the Tennessee Titans.
Instead, Allar returned to PSU for his senior season, and things did not go according to plan.
Allar was limited to six starts due to an ankle injury, going 3-3 and completing 64.8 percent of his passing attempts for 1,100 yards, eight touchdowns and three picks to go along with 172 yards and one touchdown on the ground.
There is little doubt Allar's stock took a hit compared to where it stood following the 2024 season, but the combine represented an opportunity to start rebuilding it.
Allar's next chance to showcase his skills will come at Penn State's pro day on March 18, and his NFL fate will be determined on April 23 through 25 when the 2026 NFL draft takes place in Pittsburgh.
