Biggest Questions Surrounding 2026 NFL Season After the Draft 🤔
Both prospects stood out to fans who have been watching the first two days of on-field combine workouts in Indianapolis.
Sonny is ranked as the No. 14 overall prospect and No. 2 linebacker on Bleacher Report's latest 2026 big board.
Lorenzo, who is not ranked on the B/R big board, drew attention by posting the fastest combine 40-yard dash time for any safety since at least 2003 (h/t NFL.com's Eric Edholm).
That performance came one day after Sonny recorded the highest vertical jump by a comebine off-ball linebacker since at least 2003, per ESPN's Jeff Legwold.
After playing as a wide receiver for two seasons at Notre Dame, Lorenzo transferred to Ohio State ahead of the 2023 season and recorded 46 tackles over three campaigns as a defensive back.
Sonny, who played all four of his college seasons at Ohio State, also made a position switch by transitioning from safety to linebacker with the Buckeyes.
He established himself as one of the draft's top defenders behind teammate Arvell Reese by racking up a combined 17.0 sacks in his last two seasons with the Buckeyes.
B/R NFL scout Matt Holder described Sonny as a "very good athlete for a linebacker who has good eyes in man and zone coverages to locate threats and/or avoid pick routes."
Sonny and Lorenzo are the sons of Lorenzo Styles Sr., a six-year NFL linebacker who won Super Bowl XXXIV with the St. Louis Rams after the 1999 season.
Both could potentially hear their names called after the 2026 NFL draft kicks off in Pittsburgh on April 23.
