Adam WellsFeb 26, 2026

Being part of the TKO board of directors is paying off for Dwayne Johnson.

As part of TKO's earnings report filed with the SEC that was released on Wednesday (h/t Steve Carrier of Ringside News), The Rock has made $21.7 million in equity-based compensation alone since joining the board in January 2024.

The filing lists Johnson's official position as "WWE director designee on the TKO Board."

Along with the stock compensation tied to his TKO role, the Great One made $900,000 in royalty fees in each of the previous two years stemming from his WWE merchandise deal.

The Rock has also been reimbursed $3.2 million in travel expenses from WWE. A majority of those expenses were paid out in 2024 ($2.6 million) when he was a near-weekly staple for four months leading up to WrestleMania 40.

TKO Group Holdings was formed in September 2023 as part of a merger between Zuffa—UFC's parent company—and WWE. Johnson was added to the board of directors in January 2024, along with obtaining full ownership of "The Rock" trademark.

Johnson then signed a new services and merchandising deal with WWE for his promotional licensing and other services.

The Brahma Bull was last seen on WWE television at the 2025 Elimination Chamber premium live event. He was featured in the main-event angle when John Cena turned heel after winning the men's Chamber match to earn a title shot against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41.
