Pat McAfee Surprises USA Men's Hockey Team by Covering $150K Bar Tab in Video After Gold-Medal Win

As the United States men's hockey team was celebrating their thrilling 2-1 overtime victory over Canada in the gold medal game at the 2026 Olympics, they got a special gift from Pat McAfee.

McAfee surprised the team by covering their bar tab that came out to around $150,000.

Per Jenna Lemoncelli of the New York Post, the U.S. men's team was partying at the E11EVEN nightclub in Miami when a video recording of McAfee began playing on the TV screen at the bar and announced he was covering their bill.

According to Eileen Reslen and Max Winters of the Daily Mail, the primary drinks on the tab included E11EVEN Vodka, Armand de Brignac champagne and Dame Más tequila.

While the six-figure bill is significant, it's actually not the largest hockey-related celebration tab that has been racked up at the Miami-based club. Florida Panthers players reportedly spent $500,000 that was covered by the club at E11EVEN following their Stanley Cup Final victory over the Edmonton Oilers last summer.

Team USA defeated Canada in the gold medal game on Sunday thanks to Jack Hughes' game-winning goal less than two minutes into overtime. It's the first time the U.S. men's team won gold at the Olympics since the Miracle on Ice team in 1980.
