While an opponent and date haven't been confirmed for Taylor's retirement fight, she said she's eyeing Dublin's famed Croke Park for her farewell.

"I just want to fight in Dublin to end my career," Taylor told RTE, per ESPN's James Regan. "Obviously we're still hoping for Croke Park, we're hanging on to a bit of hope that it can happen. If it doesn't happen there are plenty of options there. I have obviously fought in the 3Arena a couple of times, the Aviva Stadium is also there. Croke Park would the top of the list. Fighting my last fight in our most iconic arena, how special would that be? I think it would be absolutely remarkable if I was able to do that. I'm not sure if it is going to happen or not. Either way, I'll be ending my career here and I'm very, very excited about that."

Taylor, who will turn 40 on July 2, began training as a boxer in 1998 at 12 years old and fought her first sanctioned fight three years later at 15 years old. She quickly rose to superstardom, winning five consecutive gold medals at the Women's World Championships, five gold medals at the European Union Championships and six gold medals at the European Championships. She took home the gold medal at the London Olympics in 2012 and was Ireland's flag bearer at the opening ceremony that year.

After turning professional in 2016, Taylor eventually became the undisputed champion at lightweight before moving up to conquer the super lightweight division as well. Her trilogy against fellow multi-division champion Amanda Serrano is credited with helping raise the popularity of women's boxing and will go down as one of the greatest rivalries in the history of the sport.

Taylor will be carrying a 25-1 record into her final fight with six career knockouts. Fans in Ireland will surely give her an emotional sendoff when he laces up her boxing gloves for the last time.
