Tim Howard Responds Alex from 'Love Is Blind' Calling Him a 'Weirdo' in Trending Video

Legendary USMNT goalie Tim Howard had a fiery response to a recent dig from a reality show contestant.

During the latest season of the popular Netflix reality dating show Love Is Blind, former MLS draft pick Alex Henderson threw some shade toward Howard while discussing popular soccer players with his new fiancée, Ashley Carpenter.

When Carpenter asked Henderson about Howard, he replied, "He's American. I met him already. He's a weirdo." (h/t Seth Vertelney of USA Today)

If that wasn't bad enough, when Carpenter brought up the legendary David Beckham, Henderson quipped, "Get out of here. He's not even good!"

During an episode of his Unfiltered Soccer podcast alongside fellow USMNT legend Landon Donovan, Howard didn't take too kindly to Henderson's barbs.

"Here's what I would say: I know you're a fan, and I have this on good authority," said Howard, who added that he's a fan of Love Is Blind and watched every season. "So all I'll say is, we can make everything right with the world, and you just issue a public apology on whatever platform you're on. You can issue a public apology and I'll accept it in advance. If not, then I'll have more things to say about you. So we'll leave it there."

Donovan didn't want to leave it there and called out Henderson even further for his disrespect toward the soccer legends.

"I saw the clip. ... This tool. Forget about saying you're a weirdo, like, what a dumb comment. He's trying to hit on this girl and pick up this girl by saying Tim Howard's a weirdo? Like, what an idiot!" Donovan said. "First of all, figure out a way to get some game. Second of all, saying Sir David Beckham is not even good to try to impress some girl that you like? What an absolute tool. So let's just put it very clearly Alex: Keep Tim Howard and Sir David Beckham's names out of your mouth, and keep it as simple as that. Ridiculous. What an idiot."

Henderson, who was previously known as Alec Ferrell, was a standout goalkeeper at Wake Forest before being selected by Minnesota United in the second round of the 2017 MLS SuperDraft, though he never played in MLS.

In addition to getting under the skin of some of America's biggest soccer legends, Henderson also has faced criticisms from Love Is Blind fans throughout Season 10 for multiple reasons. As the season nears its end, many will be watching to see if Carpenter can look past his flaws in hopes of making the relationship work, but the leading expectation is that they both will be single when it's all said and done.
