Jets' Aaron Glenn Defends Woody Johnson amid Criticism, Accusations of Meddling with Staff
New York Jets owner Woody Johnson has faced criticism this offseason after accusations that he led the charge in making coaching changes, but head coach Aaron Glenn came to his defense on Tuesday.
Glenn told reporters that Johnson "is not pushing me to pick coaches" and is instead supporting him in the process.

As far as the perception of Johnson, Glenn said being a losing team reflects the narrative all around, not just ownership.
"I think there's a narrative about this team, this GM and Woody that needs to change," Glenn said.
After the Jets finished the season 3-14, they moved on from seven assistants, including offensive coordinator Tanner Engstrand. New York also fired defensive coordinator Steve Wilks during the season.
The Athletic's Zack Rosenblatt reported that "there were some Jets coaches — including Tanner Engstrand — who were under the impression at the end of the season that Aaron Glenn would be bringing them back in their same roles in 2026."
After the surprise firings, some fans perhaps questioned whether Glenn or Johnson was making the decisions, but Glenn appears to have the full support of New York's ownership.
