Manny Pacquiao Hopes for 'No More Excuses' in Floyd Mayweather Jr. Rematch Fight After 2015 Injury

Over a decade after their first fight, boxing legends Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao are set to meet again for a rematch on Sept. 19 at the Sphere in Las Vegas.

During an appearance on SportsCenter, Pacquiao explained what he learned from his 2015 loss against Mayweather.

"I learned a lot from that fight way back in 2015," Pacquiao said around the 1:10 mark. "I think we became mature right now and know how to handle it. I hope it will not happen again the way it was in 2015; the experience was like, not really 100 percent. I'm hoping for this time around, no more excuses, especially for my conditioning and for everything. I'm so excited and ready for the fight."

Pacquiao entered his first fight against Mayweather with an injured shoulder. At the time, their fight was expected to be an exciting battle between two of the greatest boxers of their generation, but it turned out to be a lackluster contest that Mayweather won by unanimous decision.

Both Pacquiao and Mayweather have remained active in boxing despite their age, so fans are hoping their rematch will provide some excitement when they meet again this fall.
