New Maxx Crosby Trade Rumors on Raiders' Efforts to Keep Star, Timeline for Potential Deal
A decision on star edge rusher Maxx Crosby's future with the Las Vegas Raiders reportedly could be coming soon.
NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported on Monday that the Raiders "have made some efforts to have talks with Crosby," but added, "If there is a time to discuss a trade, it is this week here in Indianapolis" at the NFL scouting combine.

The Raiders tied for the worst record in the NFL in 2025 at 3-14 and fired head coach Pete Carroll. Pelissero noted that Crosby recently had coffee with new head coach Klint Kubiak, but "there are fences to be mended here, and everybody has to decide what the proper course of action is moving forward." The five-time Pro Bowler's relationship with the organization is in question following the disastrous ending to last year.
"It is no secret that Crosby has been frustrated by the constant turnover and change in Las Vegas," Pelissero said. "He also was frustrated by the way last season ended when the Raiders shut him down with two games to go."
Crosby would shoot to the top of the list of coveted trade candidates if the Raiders made him available this offseason. His representatives will be in Indianapolis this week during the scouting combine to meet with Las Vegas or other teams to discuss his future.
"Any team that is a contender with a pass-rush need and cap space, or the ability to create it, I would anticipate would be involved if the Raiders decide they are willing to trade Crosby," Pelissero reported.
