10 Non-WWE Stars Who Fit Triple H's Creative Vision

Chris MuellerFeb 24, 2026

WWE has undergone some significant changes in recent years, but it seems to have finally settled into its new normal with Triple H as head of creative.

While the presentation has remained more or less the same under The Game, he obviously has some different booking habits from the way Vince McMahon used to do things.

The next few years are going to be vital to WWE's continued success, and that means acquisitions are going to be as important as ever.

Triple H needs to make sure the roster doesn't get stale, and that means bringing in new and familiar faces from different places from time to time.

Let's take a look at 10 non-WWE wrestlers who would fit well.

Maxwell Jacob Friedman

1 of 9
SiriusXM at Super Bowl LX – Feb 5

We will go ahead and get the most obvious person out of the way first. If there is anyone WWE would love to steal from All Elite Wrestling, it's MJF.

The AEW world heavyweight champion has been on an incredible run in recent years. He is only 29 years old and already has multiple notable accomplishments, including five Dynamite Diamond Rings and two world titles.

His mic skills are top notch, he is a great in-ring performer, and he has already established himself outside of pro wrestling with acting roles.

WWE would be foolish not to pursue MJF when his contract expires in a few years, especially if he continues along the path he's on.

Leon Slater

2 of 9
NXT

It feels more like a matter of when, not if, Leon Slater will sign with WWE.

Over the past year, Slater has made several appearances on WWE shows, including a match at John Cena's final show.

At only 21 years old, he could be classified as a prodigy. He is incredibly exciting to watch in the ring, and he already seems comfortable on the mic in front of a camera.

WWE clearly likes him since it keeps bringing him in for NXT shows, so if he doesn't end up with WWE when his TNA deal expires, it will be a shock.

Whether he forms a tag team with Je'Von Evans or works as a solo act, Slater could have a very bright future in WWE.

Azumi Motsumoto

3 of 9
Women's Pro-Wrestling "Stardom"

Azumi Motsumoto, known in the wrestling world as AZM, has been an active competitor for over 10 years, but the last few years have been when she has had the most attention.

If you pay attention to Japanese wrestling, even on a casual level, then you are likely familiar with AZM's skill set.

She is arguably one of the best performers in Stardom right now, and she only seems to be getting better with each passing year.

WWE has a strong group of women's wrestlers from Japan with Giulia, Asuka, Kairi Sane and Iyo Sky on the main roster. AZM would be a fantastic addition to an already stacked roster.

Oskar Münchow

4 of 9
New Japan Pro-Wrestling

We all know WWE loves its powerhouses, and Oskar Münchow is someone who would be a perfect fit in Triple H's WWE.

At 6'7", he would tower over most of his competition, and at just 27 years old, he would be a long-term investment with tons of potential.

Being from Germany, he would make a great rival or partner for Gunther, especially if he were to ever form a new version of Imperium.

If you are not familiar with Münchow's work, take some time to check him out. You won't be disappointed.

The Gunns

5 of 9

WWE loves a good brother tag team, and it definitely loves second-generation Superstars whose family has history with the company.

Both of these things give Austin and Colten Gunn an easy path to WWE if they ever wanted to pursue it, especially if Billy Gunn went with them.

The Gunns had a slow start in AEW but eventually became a popular tag team thanks to their hard work and noticeable improvements.

They would be great in NXT or on the main roster, and if Billy was to return to WWE in some capacity, it would make a full DX reunion possible.

There is no way Triple H would pass up the opportunity to milk another reunion, but Austin and Colten would likely find success there with or without their dad.

Mike Santana

WWE Archive

Mike Santana has made a handful of appearances with WWE in NXT and has been well received with each one, so a permanent move eventually is not out of the question.

Santana would be a great veteran addition to any of WWE's brands. He has almost 20 years of experience but is only 35 years old, making him someone who could be a real locker room leader.

Many WWE fans would already be familiar with him, so management wouldn't have to do much to introduce him to the crowd. He could just debut and hit the ground running without the need to spend time on a bunch of video packages.

Billie Starkz

7 of 9

Billie Starkz has been called a prodigy by some due to her high skill level at such a young age, making her someone who has a lot to offer.

At only 21 years old, she is someone who still has decades left in her career. If she were to sign with WWE, she could easily be a top star by her mid-20s.

WWE has needed more youth on the main roster for a while now, so even if she spent some time in NXT first, Starkz would be able to fill that role well.

Brandon Does Everything

8 of 9

Brandon Collymore, known to wrestling fans as BDE, is one of TNA's bright young prospects who could easily transition to WWE at some point.

While he has made a good impression with fans, BDE still needs some work. He hasn't been in the business very long, but being on TV this early in his career is a great start.

He is someone WWE can shape and form into a complete Superstar. He's only 26 years old, so he has a long time left in his career if he stays healthy and keeps improving.

If he impressed in TNA, it wouldn't be surprising to see him pop up in NXT soon.

David Finlay

9 of 9
New Japan Pro-Wrestling

With rumors swirling about David Finlay signing with WWE, this might be a bit of a cheat, but he still technically isn't on the roster, so we're including him anyway.

At just 32 years of age, he has already built up an impressive list of accomplishments. He has won multiple titles and tournaments in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, and he even held gold in TNA.

Not only would his character fit right in at WWE, but he would also be joining his brother, Uriah Connors, and his father, Fit Finlay.

He would likely have offers from NJPW to stay and both WWE and AEW in the United States, so it will be interesting to see where Finlay ends up at the end of 2026.
