Cam Ward Injury Update, Latest Rumors on Titans QB's Throwing Plan Amid NFL Offseason

Timothy RappFeb 21, 2026

Cam Ward has yet to start throwing in his rehabilitation from the AC joint sprain he suffered this season, though the Tennessee Titans quarterback is expected to resume throwing in March, according to NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe.

"He worked with his quarterback coach Darrell Colbert Jr. this past week, working on lower-body work," Wolfe reported. "They haven't thrown the ball yet, the plan is for March in about two or three weeks, for him to resume throwing the ball. Colbert said they're working on his base, to [fix] some of the bad habits he picked up last year with some of the struggles they had offensively, some of the pressure he had on him. They want to get his feet back right, get that base right for when he can throw."

Ward, 23, showed flashes of why he was the top overall pick at the 2025 NFL draft, throwing for 3,169 yards, 15 touchdowns and seven interceptions while completing 59.8 percent of his passes and taking 55 sacks. He also rushed for 159 yards and two scores.

He didn't have a ton of help, however. Bolstering the offensive line and adding more weapons should be a major offseason priority in Tennessee, though Ward clearly has some aspects of his game he wants to improve upon as well.
