It's Not Just A Race
Rock 'n' Roll Las Vegas is not just a half-marathon, it also features a 10K and 4K run occurring simultaneously with the main event. Beyond that, the event doubles as a huge party on the Las Vegas Strip.
Live music and neon lights greet the runners along the course. There is yoga along the way, and bands, DJs, and major Las Vegas acts provide entertainment for spectators. Don't forget the parties, of which there are two for the weekend, including a kickoff party Saturday night and an after party Sunday.
A unique run unlike any other, it also takes place on the famed Las Vegas Strip, which is shut down completely for the event.
The Rock n Roll Las Vegas race took over for a marathon-distance race that was once one of the oldest runs in the United States, dating back to 1967. It was replaced by the newer, half-marathon event in 2019.
Since adopting the new format, Canadian Justin Kent holds the record on the men's side with a time of 1:04:38 while Costa Rican Diana Bogantes Gonzales holds the women's record at 1:13:08.
