Tom Brady Called Out by WWE's CM Punk, Paul Heyman, McIntyre, More in Trending Video for 'Cute' Diss

Several WWE Superstars and personalities responded this week to legendary WWE quarterback Tom Brady recently downplaying pro wrestling and calling it "cute."

World heavyweight champion CM Punk, WWE champion Drew McIntyre, Paul Heyman, Oba Femi and Tyler Breeze all gave their thoughts on Brady's comments in an interview with Sports Illustrated:

During an appearance last week on the Impaulsive podcast with YouTuber and WWE Superstar Logan Paul, Brady expressed his belief that wrestlers are not the same caliber of athlete as pro football players (h/t Boston.com's Khari A. Thompson):

"It's cute," Brady said. "I love WWE. It's very cute. But, honestly, this is like real football, real competition."

The WWE Superstars who were asked about Brady's declaration gave varying answers, with some seemingly taking greater issue with it than others.

Punk joked, "What's wrong with cute? I'm cute."

McIntyre suggested Brady's lack of knowledge on what he was talking about contributed to his viewpoint, saying, "I don't get annoyed. It just comes from a place of ignorance."

The sharp-tongued Heyman unsurprisingly had the most to say about Brady's remarks, saying, "What's Tom Brady done? He's thrown a football across a field that was caught by [legendary New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Rob] Gronkowski. Gronkowski deserves the credit. [Longtime Patriots head coach Bill] Belichick and his girlfriend deserves the credit, but Tom Brady uh-uh."

Of course, Brady is widely regarded as the greatest quarterback and arguably the greatest player of all time, as the career leader in passing yards and passing touchdowns, in addition to being a seven-time Super Bowl champion, five-time Super Bowl MVP and three-time NFL MVP.

Femi, who is among WWE's fastest-rising stars and a former SEC shot put champion at the University of Alabama, put an exclamation point on the video, saying, "For those who think it's cute and it's fluffy and it's all sweet and stuff, you can come and try, you can lace up some boots and then let's watch you puke."
