Ryan Garcia vs. Mario Barrios Odds, Live Stream and KO, Judges' Scorecards Predictions

Alex BallentineFeb 21, 2026

Ryan Garcia is once again in search of gold in his first fight of 2026. He'll fight Mario Barrios for the WBC welterweight title in Las Vegas on Saturday night.

KingRy has come up short in previous attempts to win a world title. He would have been the WBC super lightweight champion if he hadn't missed weight and failed a drug test against Devin Haney. He lost his WBA welterweight title shot against Rolly Romero in May.

But he'll be the favorite to break through against Mario Barrios. The 30-year-old is making his first appearance since fighting Manny Pacquiao to a draw in July.

Let's dive into the matchup with all the particulars before making a prediction for the big weltwerweight clash.

Fatal Fury: Ryan Garcia v Rolando “Rolly” Romero - Fight Night

This is a fight that feels like it's all on Ryan Garcia. That has not always been the most predictable scenario.

Garcia is extraordinarily talented. That has never been in question. His hand speed and power, especially in lower weigh classes, is championship material. His consistency and cardio have not always been up to the task, though.

That consistency especially shows up in his defense. Garcia's lack of focus often makes him a little more hittable than you'd like a favorite to be.

He's also faded over the last half of losses against Rolly Romero and Gervonta Davis, leading to questions over his focus.

If those don't creep into this fight, Garcia should be cash in on his status as the favorite. He's the more talented and dangerous fighter. However, Barrios is a game champion who is going to test him.

That being said, Garcia is saying all the right things coming into the bout.

"I really rededicated myself to being as on point as I can from diet to discipline, from everything that I needed to sacrifice that I made every step of the way. So you're going to see the sharpest I've ever been," he told media.

Barrios actually serves as a nice barometer for where Garcia is at this point in his career. He's good enough to beat him if he's not on his game, but he's also not a big enough threat to really put Garcia in danger if KingRy is on his game.

Assuming Garcia truly has his focus in order, he should be able to put a wide gap between himself and Barrios to finally become a world champion.
