Dani Alves Takes Xavi's No. 6 as Barcelona Reveal New Shirt Numbers

Barcelona have announced what shirt numbers their talented squad will take ahead of the 2015/16 season.

The most notable change is right-back Dani Alves taking the No. 6 shirt Barca legend Xavi, who has since left the club to join Qatar's Al Sadd SC, previously wore.  Alves previously used No. 22 in honour of former teammate Eric Abidal, who retired after a battle with cancer.

Other changes include Douglas inheriting No. 2 from Martin Montoya as well as Munir and Sandro picking up Nos. 17 and 16, respectively. New signings Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal will get numbers when they start playing at the end of Barcelona's transfer ban in January.
