Watch Hilary Knight Make History With Game-Tying Goal on Video in Olympic Gold-Medal Game vs. Canada

Team USA women's hockey captain Hilary Knight scored the game-tying goal against Team Canada on Thursday to knot the gold medal matchup at one apiece with just over two minutes remaining in regulation.

Team USA pulled goaltender Aerin Frankel and brought on an extra attacker. Laila Edwards shot the puck at the net, and Knight deftly re-directed the puck in for a crucial goal.

Knight, who has participated in five Olympic Games (two golds, three silvers), made history with that effort.

The United States later won gold after Megan Keller scored the game-winner 4:07 into overtime.
