Tigers Unveil New Alternate Orange, Navy Uniforms in Video, Photos Ahead of 2026 MLB Season
Just over one month away from the start of the 2026 MLB season, the Detroit Tigers showed off their new alternate jerseys that will be worn throughout the year.
The Tigers' new alternate looks include an orange jersey with the script "D" logo on the right side of the chest and a navy blue jersey with "Detroit" across the chest.

Per MLB.com's Jason Beck, Thursday's reveal was the culmination of an 18-month process in which the Tigers sought input from fans and players about adding new looks to their rotation.
"Fans and players welcomed alternate uniforms, but wanted something that preserved the tradition of the Olde English D and the great history of the club, especially the 1984 World Series champions," Beck wrote.
The Tigers were one of two MLB teams, along with the New York Yankees, that didn't have a regular alternate uniform in their rotation. They have used the traditional home whites and road greys as their primary look, though they did add a City Connect jersey for select games in 2024 and '25.
The orange jersey features the Olde English D, which has been a staple of Tigers' uniform since 1904. The script "Detroit" across the chest has been part of their road uniform every year since 1994, though its origins date back to 1930.
There is no set date for the Tigers to debut either jersey during the season, but they will be part of the team's regular rotation in 2026. The Tigers will open the regular season against the San Diego Padres at Petco Park on March 26.
The home opener in Detroit will be against the St. Louis Cardinals on April 3.
