USA Hockey's Hilary Knight, Speedskater Brittany Bowe Get Engaged on Video at Olympics
United States women's national ice hockey team captain Hilary Knight and American speedskater Brittany Bowe got engaged in Milan, home of this year's Winter Olympics, per an announcement Wednesday on Knight's Instagram page.
The two started seeing each other four years ago in Beijing, home of the 2022 Winter Olympics. As noted by Grace Goulding for the official Olympics website, the two had crossed paths over the years but really got to know each other at the last Winter Games, when the two went for night walks together.

"It was just a really good way to get to know her, going for walks, getting out of our suites," Knight told Goulding.
"To have that human connection, even walking outside at a distance, it was really cool."
Bowe added: "We really got to know each other in Beijing and have really been inseparable ever since. She also told Goulding she knew "very quickly" Knight would be a long-term presence in her life.
Knight spoke more about her proposal, per Claire Hanna of TSN.
Knight, the much-decorated captain of the PWHL's Seattle Torrent, is hoping to lead Team USA, which has outscored its opponents 31-1 over six games, to its first gold medal since 2018 and third overall. The Americans will have to get past reigning gold medalists Team Canada, which they beat 5-0 earlier in the tournament. Gametime is Thursday at 1:10 p.m. ET.
Bowe is a four-time Olympian who won bronze in the 2018 team pursuit and bronze in the 2022 1000m race. She's also a four-time medalist at the World Sprint championships, including gold medals at the 2015 and 2016 events. Bowe also excelled at inline speed skating and basketball, playing point guard for Florida Atlantic four seasons.
