USA Makes History With Shutout Streak in 2026 Olympics Women's Hockey Bracket
The United States women's hockey team was not messing around at the Milano Cortina Games.
Not only did United States at one point outscore its opposition 31-1 during the tournament, but it set an Olympic shutout record in the process:

That shutout streak officially ended against Canada in the gold medal game:
The only team to score against them up until that point, Czechia, did so in the second period of the United States' first game in the Olympics.
"I think we're a phenomenal team," defender Lee Stecklein told reporters Monday. "We're skilled and fast and all of that is great, but the game in front of you is a whole new thing. So it's really important for us to reset and know that we're going to be facing something we've never faced as a team before and be really ready to meet that challenge."
The dominance up until this stage is a moot point if the Americans don't claim the gold medal, of course. The USA already beat Canada by a dominant 5-0 margin, though found themselves trailing in the second period on Thursday.
