Doric SamFeb 16, 2026

Brazilian Olympic track and field competitor Ana Da Silva is set to test her skills in the squared circle.

Da Silva announced on Instagram that she will be heading to Orlando to attend WWE tryouts, following in the footsteps of Olympians who've transitioned to professional wrestling like Kurt Angle and Chad Gable.

"From the Olympic shot put ring to the WWE ring… Soon to be ur fav Brazillian on the WWE tryout ring next week," Da Silva wrote in the caption.

Per Steve Carrier of Ringside News, Da Silva represented Brazil at the 2024 Paris Olympics in the women's shot put event and placed 23rd. The 27-year-old attended college at the University of Georgia and also represented her country while competing in the World Athletics Championships in 2022 and 2023.

Over the past few years, WWE has expanded its reach while searching for potential future pro wrestlers. College athletes and Olympians have proven to be capable of excelling in the ring, so it will be exciting to see how Da Silva handles her transition during her tryout with the company.
