Scott Boras Players Clear $1B Total in MLB Contracts, Who Made Most Money in 2025-26 Free Agency?
MLB players represented by agent Scott Boras have signed contracts worth a combined total of more than $1 billion this offseason, The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal reported Saturday.
Here's a look at the five largest contracts inked by Boras' clients ahed of the 2026 MLB season, per Rosenthal.
- Dylan Cease, RHP, Toronto Blue Jays: seven years, $210 million
- Alex Bregman, 3B, Chicago Cubs: five years, $175 million
- Cody Bellinger, OF, New York Yankees: five years, $162.5 million
- Pete Alonso, 1B, Baltimore Orioles: five years, $155 million
- Ranger Suárez, LHP, Boston Red Sox: five years, $130 million
Those five players alone will receive a total of more than $830 million in earnings over the span of their respective contracts.
This isn't the first time Boras, founder of the sports agency Boras Corporation, has cleared the $1 billion mark in client contracts during a single offseason.
He passed that threshold ahead of the 2020 season during a winter in which he saw players like Stephen Strasburg and Gerrit Cole signed to record-breaking deals.
Boras again made MLB history last offseason when he negotiated Juan Soto's historic 15-year, $765 million deal with the New York Mets.
Forbes reported last July that Boras had racked up an estimated $244 million in total commissions.
As of last July the Boras Corporation managed more than $32 billion in active contracts, including $4.89 billion managed by Boras, according to Forbes.
