Predicting the WrestleMania 42 Feud for Every WWE Star in Elimination Chamber Matches
Elimination Chamber has consistently stood as the final premium live event before WrestleMania.
This makes it the biggest stage remaining to set the standard for The Show of Shows, especially the two Elimination Chamber matches.
While only two wrestlers will win the EC matches, everyone involved is likely to have a key role for 'Mania.
Here is the line-up for the men's and women's Elimination Chamber match, including the predicted (unconfirmed at time of writing) final two for each match:
With these line-ups in mind, where will each of these stars end up on the road to WrestleMania 42?
Tiffany Stratton: vs. Jade Cargill
1 of 9
Since dethroning Tiffany Stratton, Jade Cargill has been stuck in a holding pattern as WWE women's champion.
The Storm has no obvious story going into WrestleMania 42, so the best option may be to revisit Cargill vs. Stratton.
The two women are trying to define themselves as amongst the main event stars of the modern women's division.
Add a strong stipulation for what should be the final clash between these two, and The Storm and Buff Barbie could massively improve upon their work together so far.
Since it still looks unlikely that Bianca Belair will not return until after 'Mania, this feels like the most logical option for all involved.
LA Knight: vs. Logan Paul
2 of 9Much has changed since LA Knight and Logan Paul last clashed at SummerSlam 2024.
In particular, The Maverick became a full-time member of the roster and joined The Vision to work with Paul Heyman.
The Million Dollar Megastar has been feuding with The Vision throughout 2025 and will continue to do so into WrestleMania.
Since Bronson Reed and Austin Theory are the tag team of The Vision, and Bron Breakker could miss The Show of Shows due to injury, Knight vs. Paul would make the most sense for both men.
If WWE wants to spice things up, this could be set up as a No. 1 contender's match for the World Heavyweight Championship.
Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky: Defending Tag Team Gold
3 of 9
While both Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky could be strong rivals for Jade Cargill, they are currently the Women's tag team champions, which does not seem likely to change any time soon.
WWE has built the women's tag division up strong enough to say that the spotlight on these titles cannot be ignored for WrestleMania.
If anything, the current tag division matters more than the world title scenes for The Show of Shows.
With so many teams vying for the shot, this is likely to be a multi-team match that includes other competitors in the women's Elimination Chamber.
No matter who steps up though, it is unlikely The Eradicator and The Genius of the Sky will lost the gold.
Cody Rhodes: vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Jacob Fatu
4 of 9
Cody Rhodes will win the men's Elimination Chamber. The American Nightmare is by far the biggest name in the match and has unfinished business with WWE champion Drew McIntyre.
The only man who could have potentially beaten him was Jacob Fatu, and Rhodes qualified for the match over The Samoan Werewolf.
It still feels more likely this will end in a triple threat at WrestleMania 42, which is a better path forward than another McIntyre vs. Rhodes singles title match.
This triple threat has plenty of opportunity to surprise, especially since this could be the moment to crown Fatu.
The only one in this match that should not walk out victorious is Rhodes. He has won enough recently and needs some strong rivalries to rebuild his popularity outside the title scene.
Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair: Fighting for Tag Team Gold
5 of 9
Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair will be tied together throughout 2026, whether they remain a team or become rivals.
For now, it makes no sense to break them up. Both would be viable challengers to Jade Cargill, but they should both have a role at WrestleMania together.
Rather than another world title triple threat, The Goddess and The Queen should challenge for the Women's Tag Team Championships again.
Of all the teams that could vie for the gold, Charlotte and Bliss are most likely to dethrone Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky.
Je'Von Evans: vs. Dominik Mysterio
6 of 9Je'Von Evans was not an obvious addition to the men's Elimination Chamber match, but he will be one looking to steal the show.
With that in mind, WWE will have no choice but to give him a strong role at WrestleMania 42.
Who better for him to go after than another star who started with WWE at a young age and has broken out in Dominik Mysterio?
The Young OG pinned the Intercontinental champion on Raw to earn his Elimination Chamber spot, and that cannot be a coincidence.
Whether he is facing Dirty Dom alone or in a multi-man match that also includes Penta and/or Finn Bálor is less certain.
Mysterio may not even be champion by 'Mania since he is likely to defend his gold against No. 1 contender Penta before the Show of Shows.
No matter who is the champion, though, Dirty Dom and The Young OG will be fighting one another and going for the gold.
Asuka: Fighting for Tag Team Gold
7 of 9
Asuka is not going to win the women's Elimination Chamber; it is more likely that the match will cost rivals Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky.
This will set the stage for Asuka and Kairi Sane to rejoin the tag team title scene at WrestleMania.
The Kabuki Warriors vs. Rhiyo could be the WrestleMania tag title match on its own, but it is more likely that multiple teams will get involved.
The Empress of Tomorrow had a great 2025 and deserves a strong spotlight on the road to 'Mania.
Randy Orton vs. Trick Williams
8 of 9
Much was made of Randy Orton nearly missing WrestleMania last year. He will not miss this year.
However, The Viper does not have an obvious opponent yet for The Show of Shows.
WWE has teased one possibility so far that has some unique intrigue: Orton vs. Trick Williams.
While Trick has a variety of opportunities going into 'Mania, he would gain the most from working with Orton, even in a losing effort.
This would be one of the more directly built feuds to play out in the Elimination Chamber.
Trick has major aspirations to take over WWE, and The Viper is about to get in his way.
At 'Mania, the new call-up will have a chance to show he belongs against one of the most respected veterans left on the WWE roster.
Jey Uso: Defending Tag Team Gold Against The Vision
9 of 9The World Tag Team Championships should be Jey Uso's focus into WrestleMania, but it is still mostly he will get into the men's Elimination Chamber.
Main Event can believably contend with the field but will likely fall short in the pursuit of the WWE Championship.
Instead, the story will shift back to The Usos vs. The Vision, particularly Austin Theory and Bronson Reed seriously threatening Jey and Jimmy Uso.
For the sake of The Vision, this would be a good time to give the group new gold since Paul Heyman's stable has lacked for credibility so far in 2026.
