
Fernando Mendoza, Jameis Winston Connect on LinkedIn in Video from Super Bowl Week
Now that he is officially being paid by LinkedIn, Fernando Mendoza is making sure his favorite networking app gets its money's worth.
During Super Bowl Week in the Bay Area, the 2025 Heisman Trophy winner connected with Jameis Winston to exchange their LinkedIn information.

Mendoza also made an appearance at the LinkedIn offices in San Francisco as part of his Super Bowl week activities.
The projected No. 1 pick in the 2026 NFL draft, Mendoza's affinity for the professional networking site became one of the biggest stories during Indiana's run through the College Football Playoff.
Rustin Dodd of The Athletic noted prior to the Hoosiers' matchup with Miami in the College Football Playoff Championship Game that Mendoza only kept two apps on his phone: YouTube and LinkedIn.
Mendoza has continued to update his LinkedIn profile, including posting the video announcing he was declaring for the NFL draft on the site. He was able to parlay that into a marketing deal with LinkedIn as he prepares to embark on his professional football career.
Winston also has a LinkedIn profile, though he doesn't seem to be as engaged with it as Mendoza. He doesn't have any posts yet, though it does list all of the NFL teams he has played for.
The 22-year-old is expected to be selected first overall by the Las Vegas Raiders in the NFL draft. He will almost certainly become the first IU player to go in the first round since wide receiver Thomas Lewis was selected with the 24th pick by the New York Giants in 1994.
