More details have emerged for Tyson Fury's return to the ring after the former heavyweight champion ended his retirement.

This marks the fifth time that Fury has returned from an announced retirement. The 37-year-old has a record of 34-2-1 with 24 knockouts, while the 36-year-old Makhmudov will be carrying a record of 21-2 with 19 knockouts into their fight.
It sounds like Fury's return to the ring won't be a one-off, as his promoter Frank Warren recently said that he's eyeing another fight against reigning heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk, whom he lost to twice in 2024.
"He wants to be the best. That's how he's always been. He's told me he wants to fight Usyk again," Warren told Sky Sports. "Tyson's a fighting man. He loves it. He goes in the gym, and when he gets down to serious training, he wants to see an end result, and the end result for him is fighting. For me, he doesn't need to fight. He's cemented his legacy. But he is fighting on, and he's going to be a great addition to the heavyweight scene. He's a great personality. The crowds come out for him, this is a big, big moment for his career."
However, Makhmudov isn't looking to be a stepping stone, as his promoter Camille Estephan recently told Sky Sports, "Our goal and objective is send him to retirement, this time for real!"
Fury's return to the ring is sure to excite fans, and it sounds like Makhmudov will be up for the challenge when they meet on April 11.
