Breezy Johnson Announces Engagement, Shares Taylor Swift-Themed Photo After Winter Olympics Gold

What an Olympics it has been for Breezy Johnson.

The American skier said yes to now-fiancé Connor Watkins' marriage proposal at the finish line of the women's Super-G event on Thursday. 

The proposal even featured a Taylor Swift reference:

While Johnson crashed during Thursday's race, she got up and reached the bottom of the mountain where Watkins was waiting. That development provided quite a relief for her fiancé.

"The mountains don't always cooperate with what you're planning," he said, per Julie Mazziotta of People. "This was plan A. There was a plan B. Luckily, she got up and was fine, and we could stick with plan A. But definitely, in the case where she wasn't receptive of the proposal, I had a backup plan just in case."

Now Johnson has a gold medal in the women's downhill, fourth-place finish in the women's team combined and an engagement ring to take home from the 2026 Milano Cortina Games.
