Bad Bunny vs. Logan Paul? Cody Rhodes Wants to See Match at WrestleMania 42 amid WWE Rumors

Former WWE champion Cody Rhodes is calling for a WrestleMania 42 match between two of the most successful celebrity performers in pro wrestling history.

In an interview with TMZ Sports, Rhodes was asked about Bad Bunny potentially returning to WWE, fresh off his halftime performance at Super Bowl LX this past weekend:

Rhodes responded to the question about Bad Bunny by saying, "I hope we get him back. He did a wonderful job, but he's on top of the world right now."

The American Nightmare then named Logan Paul as the ideal WrestleMania opponent for the Puerto Rican music sensation.

Bad Bunny and Paul made their WWE in-ring debuts one year apart. Bunny teamed with Damian Priest to beat The Miz and John Morrison at WrestleMania 37 in 2021, while Paul and The Miz defeated Rey and Dominik Mysterio at WrestleMania 38 in 2022.

Since then, Paul has gone from a popular YouTube personality to a regular part of the WWE roster. He even had a reign as United States champion, and it is fair to say that few have ever taken to the wrestling business as quickly and seamlessly as him.

Bad Bunny has competed in far fewer matches than Paul, but he has been highly impressive in his own right.

Bunny last had a match at Backlash 2023 in his homeland of Puerto Rico against Priest. It was Bad Bunny's first-ever singles bout, and he put on a spectacular performance, beating Priest in a street fight.

While Bad Bunny has been busy since then with his enormously successful music career, whispers of a return to WWE have popped up recently.

Earlier this month, Wrestling Observer Live's Bryan Alvarez (h/t Steve Carrier of Ringside News) reported that Bad Bunny "is going to end up back in WWE very soon."

WWE has not given any on-screen clues regarding when Bad Bunny might be back in the fold, but it did acknowledge his recent victories at the Grammy Awards.

Now would be the perfect time for Bad Bunny to return since the road to WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas on April 18 and 19 is in full swing, and having him face Paul would maximize the amount of mainstream attention the match would garner.
