CM Punk's WWE 2K26 Showcase Mode Revealed in New Gameplay Trailer

CM Punk's Showcase Mode for WWE 2K26 was officially revealed Monday in a trailer featuring tons of gameplay footage.

Based on what was shown in the trailer, fans will get to relive Punk's classic matches and rivalries with John Cena, The Undertaker, Brock Lesnar, The Rock, JBL, Rey Mysterio, Randy Orton, Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns as part of Showcase Mode.

The trailer also previewed a few dream matches included in Showcase Mode, including Punk vs. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Punk vs. Eddie Guerrero, and Punk and AJ Lee vs. The Miz and Maryse.

Additionally, the dream matches were set in a fantasy, Punk-themed arena, complete with Punk's signature taped fist at the top of the stage.

It appears as though essentially the entirety of Punk's WWE career will be part of Showcase Mode in some capacity.

Punk made his WWE main roster debut in 2006 and remained with the company until 2014. After nearly a decade away, Punk made his surprise WWE return at Survivor Series 2023 in his hometown of Chicago.

The 47-year-old Punk is the reigning world heavyweight champion, and if he can beat Finn Balor at Elimination Chamber later this month, he will defend that title against Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 42.

Punk has already held the world title twice since his return, making him a seven-time world champion in his WWE career to go along with one reign each as intercontinental champion, ECW champion and tag team champion.

Many of those eras and accomplishments are highlighted in the WWE 2K26 Showcase Mode, giving fans of all ages a chance to celebrate Punk's legendary career.

The Standard Edition of WWE 2K26, which features Punk on the cover, is officially set for a March 13 release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.

Those who pre-order the Deluxe, Attitude Era, and Monday Night War Editions will gain early access starting on March 6.
