Rashid Shaheed Posts Inspirational Photo from Seahawks' Super Bowl Win After Going Undrafted

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Rashid Shaheed reflected on how far he has come in the NFL after winning Super Bowl LX.

"Undrafted —> Super Bowl LX Champ," he wrote Monday on social media:

Shaheed played collegiately at the FCS level with Weber State. As a senior, he received All-Big Sky honors as a wide receiver, kick returner and punt returner, and his 5,480 all-purpose yards are the third-most in program history.

Shaheed didn't hear his name called during the 2022 NFL draft, though, and eventually signed a deal with the New Orleans Saints. By 2023, he was a Pro Bowler and All-Pro as a return specialist.

The Seahawks acquired the 27-year-old midway through the 2025 season, and he made his presence felt over the second half of the campaign. His impact carried on through to the playoffs as he took the opening kick back for a touchdown in the 41-6 divisional round victory over the San Francisco 49ers.

Shaheed is far from the biggest star on Seattle's roster, and he had a muted presence in the Super Bowl. But becoming an NFL champion makes for a compelling narrative given how he started his pro career.
