San Francisco 49ers defensive end Keion White was shot in the ankle early Monday morning in San Francisco, the team announced.

The San Francisco Police Department provided an update on the incident, via Barrows.
"A preliminary investigation revealed a verbal altercation occurred between two groups inside a business," SFPD said. "The victim was injured when shots were fired by an unknown suspect."
White was a second-round draft pick in 2023 out of Georgia Tech. He spent the first two and a half seasons of his career with the New England Patriots and was traded to the 49ers in October. In 14 total games in 2025 between the two teams, he recorded 18 tackles and 1.5 sacks.
