USA Women's Hockey Highlights From Win vs. Switzerland in Olympics Bracket 2026, Latest Standings

Nick AkermanFeb 9, 2026

The United States women's hockey team maintained its perfect record with a 5-0 win over Switzerland on Monday, making it three wins in a row at the Winter Olympics in Milan.

Goals from Haley Winn, Joy Dunne, Hannah Bilka, Alex Carpenter and Caroline Harvey completed Team USA's third straight rout and maintained top position in Group A.

Both Dunne and Harvey put up two assists each in a match that did not see Hilary Knight score the goal needed to be the nation's highest-ever women's scorer at the Olympics.

Group A Standings

  1. United States (3-0; 9 points)
  2. Canada (2-0; 6 points)
  3. Czechia (1-2; 4 points)
  4. Switzerland (1-2; 2 points)
  5. Finland (0-2; 0 points)

The Swiss fought with real guts, matching Team USA at three shots each in the opening minutes, but the favourites quickly took over to dominate, finishing the match with 50 shots to 21 and a goal differential of 15-1 in the competition.

Winn's opener came with 6:04 on the clock, her quick movement allowing her to sneak in to guide the puck home.

However, despite the United States racking up attempts on goal, Switzerland finished the first period with a power play that forced Gwyneth Philips to make two saves.

Another Philips stop defined the second period, with Alina Muller's blocked attempt quickly turning into a counter for USA. Dunne was credited with the goal as her pass bounced off Stefanie Wetli's skate and into the net.

The Swiss were unable to take advantage of a second power play heading into the third, with Bilka scoring before Hayley Scamurra's goal was chalked off after a coach's challenge.

It wouldn't be long before the fourth, though, with Knight grabbing her second assist as Carpenter thumped into the goal.

The Swiss rearguard was firmly broken at that point, as Harvey's forehand put the puck beyond Andrea Braendli, whose hard work and 45 saves suddenly looked futile.

Elsewhere, Canada thrashed Czechia 5-1 to go 2-0 in group play ahead of the likely gold medal match preview against Team USA on Tuesday.
