Pickens' Trade Ultimatum

1 Word for Every Team's 2026 Draft ☝️

Inside Top NFL Prospect Getting Drafted
Micah Parsons was traded to the Green Bay Packers ahead of the 2025 season for two first-round picks and defensive tackle Kenny Clark, a significant haul for the Dallas Cowboys.
While the Raiders might be expecting that type of return, Parsons and Crosby aren't apples-to-apples comparisons.
For one, Parsons is two years younger, though he was also in need of a contract extension, while Crosby is signed through the 2029 season. That also means the Raiders are facing a potential $35.1 million dead cap charge.
From an impact standpoint, it's hard to differentiate between the pair. In five NFL seasons, Parsons has 65 sacks and 139 quarterback hits, never dropping below 12 in a season. In that same time frame, Crosby has 52.5 sacks (69.5 in seven total seasons) and 137 quarterback hits.
Parsons is the better overall player, but any team in the NFL would take a player of Crosby's caliber off the edge. Perhaps no position in the modern NFL is more important—other than quarterback of course—than edge-rusher.
How serious Crosby's desire is to be moved is very much up for debate still. While NFL Network's Ian Rapoport has reported that the superstar pass-rusher hasn't requested a trade, Fox Sports' Jay Glazer has reported that Crosby is done in Vegas and other reports have gone so far as to say he's already told Tom Brady he won't play for the Raiders again.
So stay tuned.
