Olympic Alpine Skiing Schedule 2026 Women Combined Downhill, Slalom Live Stream
Team USA is one of the top medal contenders in the women's combined event in alpine skiing at the 2026 Winter Olympics.
The team combined pairs the downhill and slalom disciplines together. It's a new event on the alpine skiing circuit. It was introduced at the 2025 FIS World Championships.
Breezy Johnson, the downhill gold medalist at the Milan Cortina Games, and Mikaela Shiffrin won the team event last year at worlds. They will likely be paired together for the Olympic event.

Team USA is 1-for-1 in the history of the women's team combined at major competitions.
Breezy Johnson and Mikaela Shiffrin combined to win the gold medal at the 2025 FIS World Championships.
Johnson should compete in the downhill portion of the event. She should compete with a world of confidence behind her after she captured gold in the women's downhill on Sunday.
Shiffrin is one of the most decorated American alpine skiers in history. She won the 2014 Olympic gold medal in slalom and has four world titles in the event.
A single nation could enter up to four teams in the combined event, so there's a chance the Americans compete for a pair of medals. They went first and fourth at worlds last year.
Switzerland and Austria will provide Team USA with its toughest competition.
Austria had three teams in the top six of the combined event last year at worlds. Switzerland took the silver medal.
Switzerland has two of the top three slalom skiers in the current FIS World Cup standings, so if can get some good results in the downhill, it will be a huge threat to Team USA for gold.
