Both Wilson and Sherman were members of the Seahawks' previous Super Bowl-winning team during the 2013 season.
Wilson spent the first 10 years of his career in Seattle, earning nine Pro Bowl nods and one Second Team All-Pro selection over that span.
He sits at No. 1 on the Seahawks' all-time passing yards, passing touchdowns and completions leaderboards.
"I think, first of all, my experience in Seattle was one of a kind," Wilson said in 2022, via NFL.com's Kevin Patra. "Ten years, I couldn't imagine those years not being in my life and how special they were and how many games we won and how many amazing thrillers and the Super Bowl we won and everything else."
"I think also too Seattle will always mean the world to me, it'll always forever be home for me, it'll always be a special place in my heart obviously. ... I'll forever have love in my heart for Seattle," he added.
Sherman opened his career with the Seahawks as well, spending seven seasons with the organization. He was a key piece of their legendary "Legion of Boom" secondary, earning three consecutive First Team All-Pro selections from 2012-14.
Seattle was similarly led by its defense during the team's latest playoff run, allowing just 15.3 points per game across three postseason appearances.
The Seahawks also held the Patriots scoreless through three quarters of Sunday's clash, forcing three turnovers.
Now, Seattle will add a second Lombardi Trophy to its list of accolades.
