Seahawks' Josh Jobe Punches Patriots' Stefon Diggs During NFL Super Bowl 60

Zach BacharFeb 8, 2026

Seattle Seahawks defensive back Josh Jobe appeared to throw a punch at New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs in Super Bowl LX on Sunday.

In the second half of the game, Jobe shoved Diggs while he was out of bounds after running a route. Both players were then involved in a brief altercation, with Jobe seemingly punching Diggs' helmet.

A flag wasn't thrown during the play and Jobe wasn't ejected from the contest.

While a penalty could have helped New England move further down the field, it didn't end up being too costly. The Patriots found the end zone later on the same drive, as Drake Maye connected with Mack Hollins for a 35-yard touchdown.

The score allowed New England to pull to within 12 points early in the fourth quarter before its defense forced a punt on Seattle's ensuing possession.

The momentum was short-lived, however. After the Seahawks punted the ball back to the Patriots, Maye threw an interception that allowed Seattle to take a 22-7 advantage.

New England wasn't able to pull off an improbable comeback, ultimately falling by the final score of 29-13.

Jobe finished with seven tackles, one tackle for loss and one pass defended in the victory. Diggs recorded three catches for 37 yards.

Both players wrapped up impressive individual seasons on Sunday, with Jobe racking up 54 tackles and 12 passes defended across 16 appearances. He also allowed a mere 75.2 passer rating when targeted, according to Pro Football Focus.

As for Diggs, he hauled in 85 receptions for 1,013 yards after returning from a torn ACL that ended his 2024 campaign.

Although a penalty wasn't called during their quick scuffle, a fine could be coming from the NFL in the near future.
