WWE Gives 8-Year-Old Cancer Patient 'Drax Shadow' a Chance to Live Dream
This week's Monday Night Raw in San Jose gave a tough young fan a chance to live his dream of being a WWE Superstar.
Eight-year-old Elijah Mainville, who was diagnosed with neuroblastoma at a young age, caught the eye of the WWE when he submitted a video for WWE Tough Enough a few months ago:
Regardless of whether he expected a response, he got one:
In the video, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon invited Elijah to the August 3 edition of Raw. That would give the youngster a chance to not only meet his favorite WWE Superstar, Stardust, but to also become a Superstar himself.
Well, when it was time for Raw to take place in San Jose this week, Elijah made the trip.
He signed a contract and took on the name "Drax Shadow." To go with his new name, the youngster told the crowd, "Don't fear the darkness, fear the Shadow."
